The story unfolds as we meet Mary Lennox, a sour and unloved 10-year-old girl who is sent from India to live with her reclusive uncle in his grand but desolate mansion in Yorkshire, England. Behind the mansion’s many locked doors and hidden corners, Mary discovers a neglected garden, lost and forgotten for years. As she brings the garden back to life, she also revives the joy and spirit of those around her.
